Matthew Bassett and Tia Shearer Bassett
Based in Takoma Park, MD (just outside Washington, DC), Matt and Tia combine over two decades of performance experience and, individually, hundreds of performances in audiobooks.
"Longboxes" are long cardboard boxes used to store comic books. They also make an excellent sound absorption wall, which Tia and Matt learned when constructing their first home studio in 2021. With the world still reeling from COVID lockdowns and Tia fresh out of chemotherapy, the Bassetts stacked up some of Matt's comics collection, pulled their desk into a corner, set up a mic, and went to work.

Matthew Bassett (Matt) was born and raised in the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee but has called the DC area home for more than a decade. With experience as both a performer AND a director/producer of audiobooks, Matt holds hundreds of credits in the field.

Tia Shearer Bassett
Tia was born in Long Island, raised in Florida, and found her way to the DC area via NYC, Colorado, and Tennessee. An accomplished actor of stage and mic, Tia brings the experience of hundreds of roles and multiple turns as narrator for audiobooks.
